Yamaha continues to innovate, replacing the previous SH2 and SC2 series with the upgraded SC3 and SH3 series. With the Yamaha SILENT Piano, you’ll have a world-renowned acoustic piano, along with a fully integrated system which utilizes a sound muting mechanism to prevent the hammers from striking the piano strings. With SILENT Mode engaged, the non-contact articulation sensor system continuously detects key movements and turns those into digital sounds. The SC3 and SH3 series features binaural sampling from Yamaha’s world-renowned Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial concert grands. Yamaha’s superb digital reproduction of acoustic tones, Virtual Resonance Modeling, Binaural Sampling, and smooth release technology provide a natural playing experience even when using headphones.
