The Yamaha TransAcoustic TA3 and TC3 series are available on select upright and grand piano models. The TA3 and TC3 come with a great selection of digital voices and rhythm patterns, a metronome to help keep tempo, Bluetooth connectivity, Smart Pianist app compatibility, and the ability to record and save your performances to the internal memory or a USB flash drive (compatible with a USB flash memory of up to 64GB).
Yamaha TransAcoustic Pianos use proprietary technology to create a realistic and immersive playing experience while wearing headphones. The TA3 and TC3 series features binaural sampling of the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos, which simulate the sound heard as if you were sitting at a world-class concert grand piano. What is the difference between TransAcoustic and SILENT Mode?
Yamaha TransAcoustic Pianos are equipped with TransAcoustic and SILENT Mode. When enabled, the hammers are stopped before striking the piano strings. A non-contact articulation sensor captures key movements and turns those into digital sounds. In TransAcoustic mode, a transducer turns the digital sounds into vibrations which are then applied to the soundboard which behaves as an incredible acoustic speaker by naturally amplifying sounds. You can adjust volume levels without sacrificing superb sound quality, allowing natural musical expression at any volume.
