About Schimmel
The first Schimmel piano was produced in a workshop in Leipzig, Germany owned by Wilhelm Schimmel in 1885. Since their founding, the success and reputation of their pianos have been rooted in the company slogan “quality will prevail”. This legacy continues today as the company has been passed down through four generations and is known as the most frequently played German piano and most highly awarded German piano.

Craftsmanship and Engineering
Schimmel combines over a century of traditional craftsmanship and state-of-the art technology to ensure their pianos are built to the highest standards. Their CAPE (Computer Assisted Piano Engineering) design software implements the results of years of research to improve production methods and program the automatic machines in various steps of the manufacturing process. To ensure the highest level of quality, Schimmel also relies on the skills of their Master Technicians for manufacturing techniques that cannot be performed by a machine such as the voicing and finishing touches.
