Kate Iwanami

Ms. Kate is a former school teacher and has been playing piano herself over 35 years. She has experience of teaching students from age three to adults at all different levels. Ms. Kate is classically trained but plays pop, contemporary, jazz, blues, ragtime as well as classical music. Other than piano, she plays the violin and she enjoys singing. She believes that being able to read music is the basis for playing any instrument, including piano. Learning how to play piano takes certain level of discipline; however, Ms. Kate’s lesson plan always includes FUN PLAY TIME.
