Valerie Bates

Valerie Bates is the owner of Keynote Instruction, a piano studio that offers live online piano lessons. She began her training in classical piano, but transitioned to jazz piano and has performed for public events such as Jazz in the Park, as well as private functions in art galleries, and exclusive venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York.

Valerie Bates began teaching piano more than 20 years also and is certified with the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association.) Her students consistently receive superior ratings in adjudicated festivals and exams. In 2013, she began to receive requests from students who needed the convenience of remote lessons, but still wanted high quality teacher interaction.
